Privacy Policy

Faithful Path Community is operated by Richmond Kobe, trading as Faithful Path Community, in Thailand. This page explains what information the site collects, why, where it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything here is unclear, write to info@faithfulpathcommunity.com.
The short version
- We collect only what is needed to send you what you asked for: an email address for the newsletter, payment and contact details for a purchase, and what you choose to write in a course journal or a pastoral intake form.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
- Pastoral session notes are deleted twelve months after the session, or sooner if you ask.
- You can ask at any time to see, correct, export or delete what we hold about you.
What we collect, and why
Newsletter. Your email address, and your name if you give it. Used only to send the occasional letter you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Contact form. Your name, email address and message, so that we can reply.
Book purchases. Your email address and the purchase record. Payment card details are entered directly with Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store your card number. We keep the purchase record so that we can re-send your download and honour refunds.
Membership. Your email address (used to sign you in with a one-time code), your subscription status, your progress through the course, your answers to the reflection prompts and check-ins, your route and retreat choices, and the name you ask to appear on your completion certificate. Written questions you send to Richmond through the membership are stored with your account.
Talk to a Pastor sessions. Your name, email address and time zone for scheduling; your answers to the written intake questions; the notes Richmond writes before and after the session; and, if you agree at booking, a transcript of the conversation used only to write your follow-up.
Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we add analytics in future, it will be a privacy-respecting service that does not identify you personally, and this page will be updated.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information.
- We do not use your journal entries, reflections or intake answers for marketing.
- We do not read journal entries or reflection answers as a matter of routine. They are yours. Richmond reads only what you deliberately send him: a written question, or the intake form for a session.
- Course check-ins are not monitored in real time and do not contact anyone on your behalf.
Where your information is kept
Faithful Path Community is run from Thailand and used by people around the world, so your information crosses borders. The services we rely on are:

Each of these companies is bound by its own privacy terms and processes information only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, after which your address is removed from the list.
- Contact messages: up to twelve months, then deleted.
- Purchase records: for as long as required for tax and accounting, normally seven years. Download links expire but can be re-issued on request.
- Membership: for as long as your membership is active. If you cancel, your journal entries and reflections remain readable and exportable from your account. You may ask for the whole account to be deleted at any time.
- Pastoral sessions: intake answers, session notes and any transcript are deleted twelve months after the session, and sooner if you ask. Your booking record in Cal.com is deleted at the same time.
Confidentiality of pastoral conversations
What you write in an intake form or say in a session is treated as private and is not shared with anyone. There are only two exceptions, and they are the same exceptions any pastor or counsellor works under: where someone appears to be at risk of serious harm, including a child or a vulnerable adult, or where the law requires disclosure. Richmond will tell you if either applies, unless doing so would put someone at greater risk. The full terms are on the Pastoral Conversation Terms page.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- send you a copy of your data in a portable format;
- delete your data, subject to the records we must keep for tax purposes;
- stop sending you the newsletter.
Write to info@faithfulpathcommunity.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are in the UK, the EU, Canada or Australia and believe your request has not been handled properly, you may also complain to your national data-protection authority. In Thailand, the relevant law is the Personal Data Protection Act; elsewhere, we aim to meet the standards of the UK and EU GDPR, Canada's PIPEDA and Australia's Privacy Act.
Cookies
The site sets a cookie only when it has to: to keep you signed in as a member, and at checkout where Stripe sets its own cookies to prevent fraud. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
The site, the membership and pastoral sessions are for adults aged eighteen and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
Connections to the site are encrypted. Member accounts use one-time sign-in codes rather than passwords. Access to member data and session notes is limited to Richmond. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever became aware of a breach affecting your information, we would tell you promptly.
Changes to this page
When this page changes, the date at the top is updated. If a change affects how your information is used, members and newsletter subscribers will be told by email.
